Vikki Hettiger
Hello! I am Vikki Hettiger, and I am the Director of Group Exercise, as well as a certified Personal Trainer here at Pinnacle Health + Fitness. My journey into fitness began in the early 90’s. After a few years of working as a flight attendant based out of Indianapolis, Indiana, I quickly got out of the habit of being active and taking care of myself. Feeling unhealthy but motivated to make a change, I decided to join a ‘Ladies Only’ Health Club not far from my home. After several months of taking classes, I was encouraged to become certified to teach Group Exercise. From there, a fitness career was born! I continued to teach classes throughout the Indianapolis area until my move back to Madison in September of 2000. Shortly after the move, I literally stumbled upon Pinnacle Health + Fitness, where I was hired immediately as an instructor, then as the club’s Group Exercise Director, a few months later. In fall of 2007, I added Personal Training into my list of Pinnacle duties, which has afforded me the opportunity to reach members in a new and exciting way.
When not at the club teaching classes, directing Group Exercise, or training clients, I enjoy being a mom to my pre-teen son and young daughter, who keep me very busy with their many extra-curricular activities. I also love catching live music shows, traveling, and running, which I find especially amusing, as I used to be the girl who absolutely DREADED running even 1 mile in Junior High! Somewhere along the way, I’ve come to embrace running as a great form of cross-training, having completed the Madison Half-Marathon the past three years in a row. New goals on the agenda include a full marathon and sprint triathlon; beyond that, anything goes! I love new challenges, and truly believe that having a goal(s) to work toward is a great way to stay motivated and focused on fitness.
