The Aquatic Center has two state of the art salt water pools; a 75 foot lap pool and a warm water exercise pool accredited by the arthritis foundation. The center offers a wide variety of high quality programs. It is managed by Heidi Meyer-Spidell the Aquatic Fitness director.
Aquatic Personal Training Can Benefit You
Water-based personal training is growing because people are looking for lower impact activities that still provide an invigorating way to train. More athletes are cross training in the water and more doctors are recommending water exercise for rehabilitation programs for injured patients or those needing or recovering form surgery. Improve general fitness; Prepare for a sporting event; Increase strength after surgery or injury; Lose weight and body fat.
Classes
Classes are offered in both our Warm Water and Lap Pools. Cardiovascular-based classes like "Aqua Fit" in our lap pool will keep your body challenged. The "Aqua Moves" class offers improvement in range of motion and muscular strength. Try an "Aqua Flow" class to help reduce stress, breathe easier and improve your core balance. We also offer "Fluid Joints" in our warm water pool. This class is taught by instructors certified by the arthritis foundation. "Fluid Joints" is great for anyone with arthritis, fibromyalgia or movement disorders.

Triathlon Training: - Where Triathletes Train
Whether your are looking to experience your first triathlon or improve your performance on your next race, training with USAT Triathlon Coach Jerry Landmark will benefit you. We offer group training throughout the year and match the session to the triathlete's time frame of training; off season, pre-season,early training and main training. Whether you swim for fitness, competition or stroke perfection our program will help you meet your fitness goals. We offer early morning, mic-morning and evening sessions. Water Running
Water Running is a specialty program run by AQx Master trainer and runner Heidi Meyer-Spidell. This unique class uses training in water to increase strength and speed without impact and injury. It incoporates suspended deep water running moves that mimic land running muscles and shallow water drills. This class will improve core strength and endurance while limiting impact on the joints.
